Jack is growing up!!! I feel like he's made some big developmental leaps in the last couple of weeks and he no longer seems like the delicate, helpless newborn we brought home 6 months ago. He's gotten so good at sitting up...
...but sometimes he still falls over. A lot of times it's because he's reaching for something. He reaches for EVERYTHING these days, especially whatever Mommy or Daddy are holding in our hands. And he rolls all over the place, but he still hasn't figured out that makes him mobile. He just started pulling on me when he's sitting next to me, like he wants me to pick him up.
Jack also just started bouncing-using both feet to push off in his exersaucer or when he's standing on my lap. It makes me laugh because he looks so proud of himself. My favorite thing he's been doing is grabbing our face in both his hands and leaning in with his mouth wide open like he wants to kiss us. It makes me feel so loved!
And tonight, he tried his first solid food! He seemed to really like it, eating several good spoonfuls (and most of them went in his mouth!). It's so cool to introduce him to all these new things, but it's also a little hard for me because I feel like he's growing up overnight. I'm so thankful I get to spend my time with him. I wonder what he's going to do next!
P.S. Another first today-he went to the nursery at MOPS this morning for 2.5 hours and he did great! He smiled for the ladies all morning and they're all in love with him! Honestly, I think it was harder for me!
