Jack is 8 months old! I know I say this every month, but I cannot believe how fast the time is flying by! He's getting better and better at crawling every day. But now that he knows how to crawl, all he wants to do is stand up! He crawls over to whatever he can get his hands on and pulls himself up (or tries to)-the ottoman, couch, chair, bar stools, our pant legs, the bathtub. And he's figuring out how to manuever between or around furniture to get into whatever he can find or to get closer to me. He still loves his jumperoo and has now figured out how to walk around in his walker so he can follow me around the kitchen. He's been a little grumpy lately and very clingy, but I just read this happens whenever they go through a developmental leap (like learning how to crawl!) and we're still waiting on teeth! He's happy as long as I stay close and don't leave his sight!
Lately, we've been going swimming at the BAC. Jack absolutely loves to swim! When we get in the pool, he kicks his feet and splashes and shrieks and squeals. He even puts his own face in the water (I think he's trying to get a drink!) and he doesn't mind being dunked at all. I have a little fish!
We are so excited to be getting ready for Jack's first Christmas! For the most part, he hasn't really noticed the big tree in our living room, but he's very interested in helping me wrap the presents. He's growing so fast and learning so much, I can't wait to see what he learns next (but I also want to slow down time!)
P.S. He still LOVES to be naked!
