Brett and I got the chance to sneak away for an overnight in Seattle yesterday. We caught the Seahawks game, had a good night's sleep at the Renaissance Hotel and did a little shopping today both downtown and at U Village. The Seahawks game was a bit of a bummer, but we still had a lot of fun. We did a lot of walking, to and from the game, to dinner last night and all over the city today. Yesterday was beautiful, but it rained on us a bit last night and this morning. I forgot what it was like to not cart around a 26 lb 20-month old! But I love Seattle, especially at Christmas time!

It was nice to get away, but we missed Jack so much! We both were happy to be back with our little man tonight! Special thanks to Grandma and "Poppy" for taking such good care of him!
