Two Pumpkins and a Monkey

This year, we got in to Halloween a little bit more now than we usually do. First, Jack got to paint his pumpkin. He was so proud of himself. We used green and purple and black and white paint, but the finished project turned out almost comletely...

...gray. But Jack had so much fun doing it! And it wasn't too messy until he decided to pour the rinse water out on the table. A reminder to me not to leave my child unsupervised for very long.

A couple of days later, we carved our big pumpkin. Jack wasn't so sure about the insides, but really got into helping poke holes all over to make the shape.

Yes, we went with a "W." Kind of handy that our favorite college team is the same initial as our last name. Even Jack recognizes the Huskies "W."

And our little monkey with the finished products:

He makes a cute monkey! And the costume was appropriate for him! Hope everyone had  a fun and safe Halloween!
