The Perfect Day

This is what I woke up to this morning:
Giving me the opportunity to sleep in an extra hour and a half. I'll take it!

It was beautiful and warm today. We spent almost the entire day outside. I felt loved and adored and was able to completely relax and enjoy the day. Not a care in the world. A perfect Mother's Day. After I discovered my boys in the living room this morning, the day went a little something like this:

We walked to Starbucks. In our shorts. Beautiful. Came home. Played a little outside (Jack got a new lawnmower from Grandma this weekend and has "lawnmowered" our yard all weekend.) Showered. Got sandwiches and Diet Coke. Walked to Boulevard Park. Sat and had a picnic. Played at the park. Threw rocks into the water. Came home. Boys washed the car. Mommy sat out in the sun and read. Only got sprayed by my son twice. Got smoothies. Cuddled with my kiddo, who is now sound asleep, and watched the Muppets Movie. Ending the day with my feet up, feeling energized, satisfied and slightly sunburned. Today was glorious in every way!

(Somebody didn't want to give up the hose!)
Happy Mother's Day to all my friends and family who are Mommies! Hoping you have all been blessed today as much as I have been!
