Happy Birthday, Jack!
Today is your 2nd birthday and we are so loving seeing your personality develop! You are so sweet! You tell us "bless you" when we sneeze, you ask "what's wrong" if we're upset, and you cheer us on, "good job" when needed. And you're very polite, saying please and thank you most of the time. You are super friendly, saying "hi" and "bye" to people at the gym or store. You have such a tender heart and I love that about you!
You are super curious. You ask "What's that, Mommy?" all the time. And you always want to know what a sound is that you hear or who a person is that you see. You love helping daddy fix or put together things and you really like to see how things work. It's actually hard to sneak something past you!
Jack, you have so much energy! You go practically nonstop all day long. You run around and around the kitchen and love to jump and climb. But, you are also totally able to focus on things too. Like when you're cooking in your new kitchen or building a tower. I absolutely love to watch you play! And you've gotten a real imagination too, pretending to make and eat certain foods or turning just about anything into an airplane.
You are so silly. I really see your Daddy in you sometimes. You love to make people laugh and are encouraged when they do! You turn into a complete ham whenever anybody comes over, running around and showing off your toys. You think you're pretty funny.
You are also a sensitive little boy. You're not a fan of the lawn mower or blender. You cried when we took you to get your haircut yesterday and you get upset every time we mention going to the doctor or dentist. You really are very tender and I really love that about you! You are very cautious and I don't really worry about you climbing out of your crib or running into the road. You stick close by my side and I love it.
You, my son, are also a little lovebug. You love to sit in our laps and cuddle. You give us spontaneous hugs and kisses all the time. You tell us you love us. You say "hold you" when you want to be held. How can we resist? You still love to touch our cheeks with both of your hands when you're cuddling, need comfort or have missed us. I get an enthusiastic "Hi, Mommy!" whenever I've been away from you.
When you were first born, Daddy and I wondered what you would be like when you were two and running and talking. It is more amazing and more fun that we could have ever imagined. I love watching you grow! Every time I look at you I am filled with awe and wonder that you are MY child. You bring us indescribable joy. I am so lucky to be your Mama!
Happy 2nd birthday, my amazing little man! I love you so much!
Love,
Mommy
