Jack's Birthday Week

 Birthdays usually last at least a week in our house and Jack's was no exception. We started with a birthday dinner at Billy McHale's. Jack loved the train and would shriek with excitement every time it passed overhead (which was every couple of minutes.) On Friday we had a few of his little friends over for doughnuts.

Yes, most of his friends are girls at this point in his life.

 The next day, we had our families over for cupcakes and other goodies.

 Jack did a great job blowing out his candles. It must have been all the practice! And he sure enjoyed his cupcake!

 The next day was Easter and he got to do his first Easter Egg hunt at Grandma and Papa's.

He had to stop and open every egg. It took a while.

And we topped his birthday week off the next Saturday with a trip to the zoo. It was a totally different experience than last year. Jack loved seeing all the animals! This orangutan was pressed right up against the window with a blanket over his head. Jack got up close and personal.

And we got to check out the fish at the bear exhibit.

I think Jack's favorite were the elephants. He wouldn't stop talking about them.

We had a fun week (or week and a half if anybody is keeping track.) And now we're celebrating MY birthday week. It's neverending fun in our house!
