Christmas Prep

We've spent a lot of time in the past couple of weeks getting our house ready for Christmas! All the projects are done, presents are wrapped, stockings are hung...it's been a productive time! Unfortunately, our tree is already dead. Every time we bump into it, piles full of needles fall to the floor. It looks kind of sad and droopy. I think it's going to have to go right after Christmas.
Every year, Jack gets a couple of new ornaments. This year he got a bulldozer from us and an excavator from Grandma and Poppie. Very appropriate for his interests this past year. And he got to make a couple at church this month, too. He's very proud of his angel and his Baby Jesus.
I've gotten several projects done for this year too...in time to actually enjoy them this season. And I have Pinterest to thank for several of them!

My "W" wreath. Looks better from farther away and tends to hang crooked.

My wine cork wreath-I actually made 2. They hang from each of our entertainment center's towers.

Jack's mini tree complete with little silver balls and a mini tree skirt. It's been dead for awhile too.

My Christmas card shutter. I have a whole pile I need to add.

My glitter "Cheers" sign that hangs over the kitchen window. I came up with this idea all by myself! I was ambitious this year, but happy that I completed everything I wanted to!

Of course, Jack's had to help me every step of the way. He's also been super helpful wrapping gifts.
He likes to wrap up his toys and put them under the tree. And he's been helping make Christmas treats too!

He makes an excellent taster.

We are officially ready for the season! Merry Christmas!
