Jack had his first Christmas Program at his school last week! We weren't sure how he'd do, but he was with is little friend, Nora, and they did great! The program doesn't last very long with all the singers/actors being 3-6 years old, but they were all so cute. They sang and did signs for Away in the Manger, ANgels We Have Heard on High, Blessed By the Rock (which Jack sings "Sav-an-ah, blessed be the rock, hu-hu) and We Wish You A Merry Christmas. Jack cracked us up. He was chewing gum, leaning against the stair behind him and barely doing the hand motions. Like he was too cool for it all.
Maelle stole the show. The teachers thought it would be so wonderful to have a "real" Baby Jesus, so they asked if we would be willing. We settled her into the little manger up front and she hung out the entire performance, sleeping and then fascinated by the bright lights above the stage. We're thinking about getting her an agent. I guess many of the kids told their parents there was going to be a real baby and nobody believed them. Too cute. After the show was over, the kids couldn't keep their hands off of her. We were proud parents that night!
