One Month Old

It's so hard to believe that Jack is already one month old! It's one of those times where I can't believe that it's been that long since I gave birth to him, but I also can't believe we've only had him for one month. Time is going to fly by!

Some cute things he's doing:

• Today, Brett got him to smile! He got him to do it a couple of times, so that's how we decided that it was a real smile, but it was too quick to snap a picture.
• He makes the cutest noises, especially in his sleep, but when he's awake and happy, he'll give a contented sigh.
• He still likes to be swaddled, but is so active now, he easily works his arms out and then wakes himself up by hitting or grabbing himself.
• When he stretches as he's waking up, he moves his little head one way and wrinkles his forehead.
• When you kiss him on the cheek, he turns his mouth toward you like he wants to kiss you on the lips. It's usually when he's hungry.
• Sometimes, he'll clasp his hands together like he's praying and he's also found his thumb a few times.

Jack doesn't sleep as much as he used to, which means he also cries a bit more, but he's growing and learning, and we still think he's pretty great!
